Stearns County Breakfast on the Farm is a hands-on, educational event designed to help people of all ages learn more about the farms and the families that produce our food.
CONNECTING CONSUMERS AND AGRICULTURE
Breakfast on the Farm is held at a working dairy farm, giving visitors an opportunity to see firsthand where the milk in our favorite dairy products come from. Breakfast on the Farm is not only about dairy farms though, other agricultural industries of Stearns County – beef, swine, sheep, goats, poultry, and crops are showcased through exhibits and activities, including a farm animal petting zoo.
A committee of volunteers, most of whom are dairy farmers, are responsible for organizing the Stearns County Breakfast on the Farm. Other committee members represent agriculture related businesses, and all members are passionate about telling agriculture’s story. All committee members believe visiting a working farm is the best way for consumers to learn about agriculture.
RECOGNIZING STEARNS COUNTY’S FARM FAMILIES
Helping consumers learn about modern food production is the committee’s way of saluting Stearns County’s farm families. Their hard work and dedication to producing high quality food, their commitment to protecting the environment, and their contributions to their communities and local economy
Breakfast on the Farm is a nonprofit event made possible by generous donations of many area businesses.
